Rack Cases & Rack Mount Cases
Rack Cases & 19-Inch Rack Mount Cases
Protect amplifiers, mixers, wireless systems, servers, networking equipment, broadcast gear, and other rack-mounted electronics in transit, on site, and in storage. Compare rack cases by rack units, usable depth, protection level, mobility, and operating access.
- 19-inch rack cases for audio, AV, IT, broadcast, networking, and mobile production equipment
- Standard, shockmount, shallow, rolling, console, half-rack, and soft configurations
- Options for compact gear, sensitive electronics, heavy mobile systems, mixers, and portable rigs
Shop Rack Case Types: Standard Rack Cases, Shock Rack Cases, Shallow Rack Cases, Rolling Rack Cases, Console Rack Cases, Half Rack Cases, and Soft Rack Cases.
Start with the equipment you need to mount and how the loaded rack will be handled. The categories below separate general-purpose, shock-isolated, short-depth, wheeled, console, half-width, and lightweight soft rack solutions so each page can answer a distinct need.
Rack Case Categories
Choose the Right Rack Case Type
Select the category that best matches your equipment depth, protection requirement, loaded weight, rack configuration, and working environment.
Standard Rack Cases
General-purpose 19-inch rack cases for amplifiers, processors, power conditioners, wireless systems, networking hardware, and other rack-mounted equipment.
Shock Rack Cases
Shockmount rack cases with added vibration and impact isolation for sensitive audio, AV, broadcast, communications, IT, and electronic equipment.
Shallow Rack Cases
Short-depth rack cases for wireless systems, digital processors, networking devices, lightweight electronics, and other compact rack-mounted equipment.
Rolling Rack Cases
Wheeled rack cases for heavier systems that need easier movement during touring, live production, field deployment, installation, or service work.
Console Rack Cases
Mixer and console rack cases that combine angled operating access with rack spaces for control surfaces, processors, power, and related equipment.
Half Rack Cases
Compact half-width rack cases for smaller-format systems that do not require a full-width rack enclosure.
Common Applications
Rack Cases for Audio, AV, Broadcast, and IT Systems
Rack cases keep mounted components organized and protected while allowing the system to move between storage, transport, setup, operation, and teardown.
Audio and Live Sound
Mount amplifiers, wireless receivers, power conditioners, processors, effects units, and live-sound equipment in a transport-ready rack.
Standard and shallow racks suit many audio systems; shock racks add isolation for more sensitive equipment and demanding transport.
AV, Broadcast, and Mobile Production
Protect switching gear, communications systems, production electronics, control equipment, and field-deployed AV systems.
Rolling racks simplify heavier moves, while console racks keep mixers and control surfaces accessible during operation.
IT, Networking, and Electronics
Transport servers, network appliances, test equipment, communications hardware, power distribution, and other rack-mounted electronics.
Confirm equipment depth, cable clearance, airflow, rear access, payload, and shock exposure before choosing the case.
Buying Guide
How to Choose the Right Rack Case
1. Match the Case to the Application
Choose the rack style for the job: general transport, shock isolation, short-depth equipment, heavy mobile systems, mixer access, half-width components, or lightweight carrying.
2. Confirm Rack Units and Usable Depth
Add the rack spaces your system requires; one rack unit, or 1U, equals 1.75 inches of vertical mounting space. Measure the deepest component and include connectors, cable bends, ventilation, rear access, and clearance from both lids.
3. Plan for Loaded Weight and Handling
Consider total system weight, carrying distance, transport frequency, loading conditions, vibration, impact exposure, wheel requirements, lid access, and whether the equipment will operate while mounted.
For a fit recommendation, send us the rack-unit count, deepest equipment measurement, connector and cable-clearance needs, total loaded weight, and expected transport conditions. Our team can help narrow the available rack case types and configurations.
